Hi! I'm Lori
Currently, I am a first year student in UW MS HCDE
Previously, I worked in HP, L’Oréal, and Saas Agency
I design ecosystems, not just interfaces.
My design path began by building learning systems for under-resourced communities, later optimizing supply chain operations at HP and L’Oréal, , and most recently leading SaaS platform design projects across multiple industries at a design agency. Through these experiences, I have learned that meaningful design emerges when we understand the full complexity of systems and how people, tools, and data continuously shape one another.
As a product designer and systems thinker, I focus on turning complexity into clarity. I deconstruct multifaceted challenges, map the interactions among users and systems, and create solutions that meet each stakeholder’s needs while advancing collective business goals. My process blends analytical structure with empathetic observation, ensuring that every design decision serves both people and the organizations they belong to.

Learning in UW HCDE

User-Centered Design
Led user research, prototyping, and usability testing to craft solutions grounded in real user needs and validated through iteration.

Experimental Research Methods
Designed and conducted user experiments, analyzed large datasets, and produced a professional research paper based on evidence-driven findings.

Programming Concepts in HCDE
Built interactive applications with Python to learn core programming logic and strengthen computational thinking for design.
